The hour began with inversions - shoulder stand against the wall and teaching Denise a new technique for forward bends.  We proceeded through standing balances.  Then some back, neck and shoulder relaxation as well as abdominal strengthening.  We ended with a somatic hip opening sequence that Shirley loved!

 

A discussion of the business of Alexander Technique, somatic education, body-mind awareness followed.  Shirley expressed general concern for the postural health of our computer-tied colleagues.
